Bryce J Woodbury was born on October 7, 1967 in Hailey, ID. He was the last of six children born to Leland Vernon Woodbury and Vernetta Rae Baird Woodbury. He passed away September 24, 2021 in Blackfoot, ID.

When Bryce was 2 years old, his family moved to Mackay, ID where his parents owned and operated their own cattle ranch. His parents provided a happy, hardworking, and caring home for Bryce and his five siblings. He enjoyed working on the ranch, competing in sports, and developing close ties to his family through work and play.

Bryce attended high school in Mackay and graduated in 1986. He then served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1987-1989 in the South Carolina Columbia mission. Afterward, he attended Ricks College where he met his future wife and best friend, Stephanie Carol Norman, in his FHE group. They were married for time and all eternity on August 2, 1991 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple.

Bryce took an extra semester of classes at Ricks while he waited for Stephanie to finish her degree before they both moved to Pocatello where he completed a bachelor’s degree in health physics from Idaho State University.

His life-long commitment to his family continued as he worked as a nuclear safety engineer and team scientist on the INL’s Radiological Assistance Program Region 6 team. He made memories with his family while snow skiing, water skiing, motorcycling, and shooting guns. The Lost River Valley was blessed by his community service as he served on the Mackay School Board, as an EMT, a Reserve Deputy and a member of the Special Response Team for the Butte County Sherrif’s Office. Bryce also served in many callings and leadership positions within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was serving as the Bishop of the Leslie Ward when he passed.

Bryce is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his six children; Bryea (Adam) Sorensen, Bailey (Colter) Tucker, Bridger Woodbury, Bryson Woodbury, Blakely Woodbury, Brenly Woodbury; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by four of his siblings; Randy (Gina) Woodbury, Teri (Van) Price, Kirk (Kim) Woodbury, Susan (Wes) Collins, and one brother-in-law, David Buck. Bryce was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Vernae Buck.

The funeral will be held in the Moore, Idaho Stake Center at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 1st. Viewings will be held on Thursday, September 30th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Leslie Ward LDS meetinghouse and Friday, October 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the Moore, Idaho Stake Center. Interment will be in the Mt. McCaleb Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home.
