Carl Lee Brown
June 18th, 1935 - November 16th, 2024
Carl Lee Brown, 89, of Milo Idaho, passed peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Idaho Falls Community Hospital under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
He was born on the family farm in Milo on June 18, 1935 to Earl and Ada Florece Barnes Brown. He attended school in Rigby, ID and graduated from Rigby High School in 1954.
He was the Manual Typewriter repairman for School Dist 91 for 18 yrs. He drove Charter Bus and was a Truck Driver for 25 years and then being the hard worker that he was, worked for Jefferson County Road and Bridge at age 80 to 85.
On February 15, 1976, Carl married the love of his life, Dolores Ida Kirby in Reno, Nevada. They built a life together that they loved, and they have four children: Steven, Tony, Marie and Duke. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Culver City, CA; El Segundo, CA; Idaho Falls, ID and settle back on his family’s farm in Milo, ID.
Carl was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently part of the Rigby 20th Ward, and the Milo Ward for many years before that.
Carl loved working in the yard, tinkering in his shop. Helping others if he could think of a way, like taking his ranger and helping them spray weeds.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ada Florence Barnes Brown,
He is survived by sons Tony (Vicki) Brown of Superior MT, Steven Brown of Victor, ID; Duke Hingley of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Marie (Bob) Dewey of Boise, ID; brother Tom (Kathy) Brown of Rigby, ID; and sister Judy (Lee) Adams of Del Rio, TX; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024, 1:00 PM at Eckersell Funeral Home. Family will visit with friends and family prior to the service from 11:30 – 12:45 PM. Interment will be at the Ririe Shelton Cemetery.
