Carl Leonard Wall, 90, lifetime resident of Mackay, ID, passed away peacefully at his son’s home on Monday, October 21, 2024.

He was born on May 11, 1934 in Mackay, Idaho to Carl Eugene and Mabel Wilson Wall. Leonard was raised and lived his entire life in the town that he loved, Mackay, Idaho. After graduating from Mackay High School, Leonard began his long career of delivering fuel to all parts of central and eastern Idaho. A career that lasted for 71 years and over 2 million miles.

In November of 1954 he married Anna Jeanette Morris and they were later divorced. On September 27, 1974 he married Patricia Newbern. They lived in Mackay where Leonard owned and operated Leonard Wall Oil Company until his retirement in 2023.

Leonard enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, picnics, hunting, four wheeler rides, and building antique cars. He served his community as a school board member, city councilman and charter member to the Mackay Lions Club. He was a Christian and understood the importance of service to others.

Surviving are his children, Cindy (Keith) Lambert, Mike (Vicki) Wall, Dean (Penny) Wall, and Randy Tea; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia, his sister and a son, James Tea.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at the Mackay High School Auditorium. A viewing will be held from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Mt. McCaleb Cemetery in Mackay under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Mackay American Legion Post #16, POB 472, Mackay, ID 83251.
