Carter Jack Strain
March 18th, 1993 - March 18th, 2022
Carter Jack Strain of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away on March 18, 2022, in Belfield, North Dakota.
Carter was born at Madison Memorial in Rexburg, Idaho on March 18, 1993, to Lex Jack Strain and Britene Marie Larna Strain. From the moment he was born he gave his parents a run for their money! He was full of life, happiness, and had a true love for his family and friends. On many occasions, and in a moment’s notice he could be counted on to drop whatever he was doing if a friend or family member was in need. Carter also loved to have fun with his friends and family. He was the one to show up to a family party with seven nerf guns and ten thousand rounds of ammo … let the games begin!
Although the family moved around a bit when he was young, Carter grew up and lived mostly in the Idaho Falls area with a few years spent in Alaska and Utah. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, shooting, hanging out around a campfire, and dirt-biking with his friends and family. He also loved his down time playing video games and had even built a few super computers to give him an edge.
Carter graduated from Skyline High School in 2011. He worked several trades, such as body repair and truck driving, earning his CDL in 2011. He had a passion for construction and maintaining water heater trucks running around the clock supporting the North Dakota oil fields. He was an extremely hard worker and could always be counted on to finish any job he started or was asked to do.
In 2019 he married the love of his life, Ashley (Arcy) Chermak. Carter and Arcy shared many fun adventures including riding motorcycles, going to festivals/concerts, and taking a Caribbean cruise. Carter and Arcy also had several exotic sugar glider pets. Arcy joked with Carter that having “sugar babies” made him a Sugar Daddy!
Carter was all heart and was loved unconditionally by all who knew him. You were never a stranger for long with Carter; he was gifted with an infectious, fun personality and a smile that would light up a room. Oh, what a laugh he had! Carter had a quick wit and an amazingly creative mind. He loved to solve problems and he was always working on his next dream. We will miss him every day and he will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Arcy Strain, his father, Lex (Stacie) Strain, his mother, Britene Larna, his brother Landon (ChrisAnn Hansen) Moulton, his sister Shelby (Brent Hall) Strain, his brother Lucas Strain, his grandfather, Jack Strain, grandmother, Joyce Larna, his nephew, nieces and numerous aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his uncle Lance Strain, uncle Kirk Prestwich, grandmother Peggy Strain, and grandfather Robert Larna.
There is a celebration of life planned for the summer of 2022.
