Christine Bernice Scott

Christine Bernice Scott, 65, of Rigby, ID, passed away on January 17, 2024. Christine was born on April 5, 1958 to Raymond and DeeAnn Alvey Malone in Idaho Falls, ID. At nine months old she was front page new year’s baby on the Deseret News Paper. Then her family moved to Huntington Beach, California where she grew her love for the ocean and warm weather. When she was a teenager, her family moved back to Idaho and she attended Clair E Gale and then Bonneville High School. Her high school graduation year was the Bicentennial of the Country. She worked hard at McDonalds to be able to fly back to Washington D.C. and tour the sites known to our countries history and was always happy to tell her family about the trip.

After graduating from Bonneville high school in 1976, she went on to study Geology and English at Ricks College. In early 1977 she met Eugene Scott and they were Sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 28,1977, going on to have 5 children, Tiffany, Jeremy, Kendall, stillborn daughter Megan, and Chelsea. Christine lived for raising her kids and supporting them in sports, music and anything else they got involved in. She grew up in the Tax Accounting world with her parents owning a tax business and in 1999, purchased Data Tax from her parents. Christine was a passionate about knitting, crocheting, her spinning wheels, Choir, every musical instrument (except the Banjo), gardening, genealogy, grand-pups and reading. Her children were her world, but her Grandchildren were the true treasure that she cherished. She was an Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions over the years including Genealogy, Relief Society, Ward Chorister, and Primary with her absolute favorite position being the Primary Chorister.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and DeeAnn Malone, stillborn daughter Megan and her grandparents. She is survived by her sweetheart, Eugene, her Posterity Tiffany (Joseph) Bean and their daughters Sydney and Sarah (Logan); Jeremy and his son Jesson, daughter Madalynn; Kendall (Christy) and their sons Conner(McKell) and Tyson, daughter Bailey; Chelsea (Ronnie) Beaman and their sons Dillon, Caleb and Oakley. She is also survived by her brothers Douglas Malone, Greg(Kristen) Malone, Sean Malone and Brother in Law Dean Scott.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at the Menan Stake Center, 698 N 3600 E, Menan, ID, with Bishop Dustin Judy officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Friday prior to services, both at the Stake Center. Burial will be at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.

Our family would like to thank the staff members at EIRMC in the ER and ICU with providing the best care, understanding and love in her final moments.
