Debra Johnson, age 72, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on August 7, 2024.

Debra was born July 21, 1952, a daughter to William Smith and Colleen Humphreys Smith, in Logan, Utah.

On November 17, 1972 Debra married Richard Lloyd Johnson in Elko Nevada. Later in 1999, they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. While she was in her teenage years she attended school at Logan High School in Logan, Utah. She worked as a desk clerk at Cotton Tree Inn, in Rexburg, ID. was then a sales associate at JCPenney in Rexburg, ID, and later took the roll of Teacher’s Aide in Sugar City, ID, which became her favorite job outside of her home.

Debra was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In her teenage years, she had a passion for ice skating. While living in Preston, ID, she enjoyed bowling with the local league. Her hobbies included crocheting, gardening, and yard work. It was also a priority for her to have a clean and tidy home. Most of all she loved her family and grandchildren.

Debra is survived by her Husband Richard Lloyd Johnson of Rigby, children Janell (Mike) McFall of Brigham City, Utah, Eric (Nancy) Johnson of Boise, Idaho, Molly (Jeromy) Hart of Rigby, Idaho, and Cameron (Lexie) Johnson of Boise, Idaho. Siblings, Blaine (Patricia) Smith of Spokane, Washington, Marsha Shepherd of American Fork, Utah, Craig Smith of Mesa Arizona, Patti (Brian) Allsop of Spanish Fork, Utah, and 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents William A. and Colleen Smith, Brother-in-law Larry Shepherd, son Brandon Smith, Grandson Todd Bair, nephews Scott Graham, and Nathan Allsop, and niece Timberli Graham.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
