Dylan Rounds, a cherished son, brother, and visionary, tragically lost his life on May 28, 2022. Born on August 1, 2002, to Justin Rounds and Candice Cooley, Dylan was the eldest of their three children. Raised in a farming environment, Dylan’s life was deeply intertwined with the land he loved.

From an early age, Dylan demonstrated an unparalleled passion for farming. His dream was to own and manage an expansive farm, a vision he began to realize in 2019 when he partnered with his grandfather on land in Lucin, Utah. For two years, he worked tirelessly to prepare the soil and lay the groundwork for his dream. Finally, in the spring of 2022, Dylan was ready to plant his first crop, a milestone he approached with the same dedication and enthusiasm that marked his entire life.

Dylan was not just a farmer; he was a dreamer, a builder, and a visionary. While many of his peers were still finding their way, Dylan had already charted his own course, transforming a piece of the Utah desert into a burgeoning farm. He saw potential where others saw barrenness, and his relentless pursuit of turning that potential into reality was a testament to his unshakeable drive.

His passion was as vibrant and enduring as the sunflowers he loved, and those sunflowers now bloom around the world, symbolizing the remarkable life he led. Dylan’s memory will forever be honored by the many lives he touched and the dreams he pursued with unwavering commitment.

Dylan is survived by his parents, Justin Rounds and Candice Cooley, (Mike), his siblings Coleton Rounds, Brooklynne Falter (Ryken). Grandparents Larry and Karen Rounds, Terry and Denise Cooley and Great Grandfather Bill Siegel. His extended family includes many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will remember him for his boundless energy, visionary dreams, and the warmth he brought into their lives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 12:00 pm (4024 E 145 N Idaho Falls ID) to celebrate Dylan’s extraordinary life and the impact he made in his brief time with us. EastIdahoNews.com will livestream the memorial. There will be a luncheon at the same location immediately following the graveside (Ucon, ID). For those wanting to send condolences, in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to Dylan’s Legacy, as we continue to help multiple families in similar situations.
