Edythe LeAnna Turner Tisdale, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 3, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Edythe was born March 16, 1943, in Salina, Kansas, to Sheldon and Ruth Turner. She grew up and attended schools in Salina and graduated from Salina High School.

On December 29, 1963, she married Walter Southon Tisdale in Salina, Kansas. Walter and Edythe made their home in Idaho Falls where they raised their family. Edythe was a wonderful homemaker, and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

Edythe was a member of Crosspoint Community Church of the Nazarene. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was very active in the community and served missions for her church. She loved to sing, attend Chucker’s ballgames, as well as church softball league games.

Edythe is survived by her daughter, LeAnna Tisdale of Idaho Falls, ID, and son, David Scott (Lisa) Tisdale of Satsuma, AL; her sister, Lola Nelson of Salina, KS; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Crosspoint Community Church, 1900 Grandview Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho, with Aaron Duval officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
