Gerald “Doug” Storer, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 19, 2024, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.

Doug was born in Ammon, Idaho, to Arthur and Beatrice Storer. He grew up and attended grade school in Idaho Falls and later the family moved to Mackay where he graduated from Mackay High School.

On November 20, 1951, he married Virginia Anderson in Elko Nevada. Doug and Virginia lived most of their lives in the Lost River Valley, where he farmed and ranched. He retired from the Butte County Road and Bridge where he was the supervisor. After Virginia retired, they moved to Idaho Falls and spent many winters in Mesquite, Nevada.

He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a member of the Lions Club.

Doug is survived by his daughter, Randi (Peter) Henderson of Mackay,ID; daughter, Judy (RD) Maynard of Meridian, ID; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.
