Gregory Richard Twitchell
January 8th, 1950 - February 2nd, 2021
Gregory Richard Twitchell passed away February 2, 2021 at his home. He was born January 8th 1950. He grew up in Blackfoot where he graduated from Blackfoot High school. Greg served in the National Guard. He married Louise Byrne in 1975. They had three children. Later they divorced and in 2000 he married Sherril Stewart. They enjoyed traveling and living a nomadic lifestyle. Sherril passed away last year after a battle with lung cancer. Greg was lost without her and longed for her company.
Greg enjoyed many jobs as a welder and working with Spudnik Potato company. He and Sherril enjoyed learning about and practicing Eastern Medicine. He loved to write songs and play them on his guitar. Growing up he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time fishing. He enjoyed meeting new people and sharing friendly conversations with all.
He moved to Rexburg after Sherril’s passing and spent time taking care of their Corgi dog “Hetty” with daily walks and treats.
He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Rosscielle Twitchell, brothers Conrad and Larry Twitchell. He is survived by his Brothers Kevin (Leslie) Twitchell of Idaho Falls, ID, and Denny Brent Twitchell of Pocatello, ID. His three children Jeremy (Lori) Twitchell of Felt, ID, Jenny Twitchell of Ririe, ID, and Willy (Ronda) Twitchell of Rexburg, ID. He has been blessed with the love and support of Sherril’s Children.
