Obituary
Gregory Virl Jardine
January 27th, 1950 - February 18th, 2024
Gregory Virl Jardine, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 18, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Greg was born January 27th, 1950, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Virl Newell Jardine and Lois Lovenia Peterson. He was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho attending Dora Erickson Elementary, Clair E. Gale Junior High, and Idaho Falls High School. On May 2nd, 1969 he married his high school sweetheart, together they raised five children in Idaho Falls while he worked in various industries related to sales.
Greg loved serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings. He was willing to serve in whatever capacity he was called but was especially fond of his assignments in scouting and working with the youth. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed his time there and spent many camping trips with his family exploring the beauty we have been blessed with in this area.
His family will forever hold on to cherished memories of summertime water fights, where there were no rules, where hoses were taken into the house and roof top surprise attacks were executed with precision. We will remember the one-on-one times in the car on the way to or from an event, where tall tales were told and laughter abounded. He will be missed for his quick wit and disapproving looks when testing boundaries. Above all we will miss his genuine love he held for all the individuals he had in his life, regardless of his ability to adequately express it.
The family expresses their love and appreciation to all who have cared for our father in the medical industry at one time or another. Of these there was none other who showed more, the true love of Christ than his beloved sister Chris. You were his crutch and his rock!
Greg is survived by his daughter Amy (Dan) Goodrich, of Kennewick, WA; son Chad (Alanna) Jardine, of Idaho Falls, ID.; daughter Deedra, of Idaho Falls, ID.; Son Carl (Lisa), of Idaho Falls, ID.; son Michael (Holly), of Ammon, ID.; Sister Chris (Lee), of Idaho Falls, ID., brother Jeff (Bonita), of Ammon, ID., brother Richard (Verlinda), of Denver, CO; and Sister Jennie (Paul), of Houston, TX.
