Harvey Owen Williams, 88, passed away on October 2, 2024, at Carriage Cove in Rexburg, Idaho. He was born December 2, 1935, to Cromwell Owen Williams and Beatrice Potter Williams. He attended school in Chester, Idaho and South Fremont in St. Anthony, Idaho.

He met his wife Barbra Andersen when she was on a blind date with one of his cousins. A year later, they started dating and were soon engaged. Harvey and Barbra were married on the 14th of August, 1958, in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Harvey and Barbra were residents of Chester, ID when their son Craig decided to make an appearance in January, 1960. Carol followed closely after in November, 1961. In August of 1965, Todd decided to push his way into the family. Denise refused to be left out and made her entrance into the family in April of 1972. Harvey and family moved to Ashton in 1964, where they stayed for the rest of their lives.

Harvey worked on the farm growing up. He was a delivery driver for a bakery, worked as a surveyor for the Forest Service, cut timber, and worked processing potatoes. In the spring of 1963, Harvey started employment for Lynn Loosli and Loosli Farms where he spent the rest of his working career.

He enjoyed all sports growing up including boxing, football, baseball, basketball, bowling, and horseshoes. He also really enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved riding horses and spent much of his life on horseback.

Harvey was a stalwart member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Holding and fulfilling many callings during his life. He was also very supportive of his children and grandchildren in their lives and activities.

He is survived by his children: Carol Ann ( Blair) Jones of Ashton, Idaho; Todd Ray (Kelly) Williams of Burley, Idaho; Denise (Justin) Clement of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Brother Boyd L. (Sharon) Williams of Pocatello, Idaho; 15 Grandchildren; and 34 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbra, and son Craig O. Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, at the Ashton Stake Center, with Bishop David Hess of the Ashton 1st Ward officiating.  The family will receive family and friends that morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Interment will be in the Chester Cemetery.
