Jana Collins
April 5th, 1958 - January 24th, 2025
Jana Collins, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 24, 2025, at Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg.
Jana was born April 5, 1958, in Logan, Utah, to Robert Kirkland and Nedra Golden Kirkland. She graduated from Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas. Later she received her medical assisting degree. She was an exceptional student and took great care in her work.
On May 28, 1977, she married Barry Gardner and they were blessed with 4 sons, Jason Barry, Jared, Ryan and Beau Gardner. They raised their family primarily in Arizona and New Mexico. Being a mother brought much joy to her life. Barry preceded her in death and passed away on November 16, 2000.
On May 26, 2006, Jana married Thomas Collins in Chandler, Arizona. Jana and Tom made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she was a homemaker.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed cooking, going to the movies, traveling, and the theater.
Jana is survived by her husband, Tom Collins, her 4 sons, and 29 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road in Ammon, ID. The family will visit with friends from 9-9:30 a.m. prior to services. She will be buried in the Alpine City Cemetery in Alpine, Utah, beside her late husband Barry Gardner.
