Jeanne Pratt Groberg, 77, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully July 1, 2024, at her home with her husband and family at her side.

Jeanne was born March 3, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Claron Ure and Virginia Reeves Pratt. She was the third of four children and their first little girl. Her big brothers were her heroes, and her little sister her best friend.

Jeanne attended Littleton High School in Denver, Colorado, and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While there, Jeanne met the love of her life, Joseph Holbrook Groberg. They were married on September 15, 1967, in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They have four children, Kristin Clark, Anna Glenn, Jonathan Pratt Groberg, and Pamela Groberg.

After their wedding, Joe and Jeanne moved to Chicago where Joe attended the University of Chicago Law School and Jeanne took classes for her college degree and worked in the physical science department. Jeanne completed her BYU degree in 1968. After graduation they moved to Denver, Colorado, where Joe practiced law and Jeanne kept the home fire burning brightly. They loved Jeanne’s hometown of Denver, but Joe’s hometown of Idaho Falls called, and Jeanne quickly adjusted to a new home there and loved it. Joe and Jeanne were united in their commitment to love the Lord and love His children. Together they served in their Idaho Falls wards and stakes, and as mission leaders of the Peru, Lima South Mission (1981-1984), the Peru, Lima MTC (2008-2010), as legal advisors in Santiago Chile (2010-2011), and in the Ecuador, Guayaquil Temple (2011-2014). Their missionaries and fellow temple workers all became their extended family.

From birth, Jeanne had a strong and loving relationship with her Savior. Her first thoughts were always of others. She was desirous to contribute to the world around her. She successfully campaigned for birthing rooms in the local hospitals. She taught aerobics at the Apple Athletic Club, taught piano lessons, served as president of the Idaho Falls Music Club and held many church callings, especially rejoicing in serving the primary children and youth.

She loved hiking in the wilderness and playing tennis with her husband. She loved her family with her whole heart. She stood in awe of each child and grandchild. She frequently expressed that no daughter of God could be more blessed than she had been her entire life.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Holbrook Groberg; daughter, Kristin Clark (Ezra T. III); daughter, Anna Glenn (Sean); son, Jonathan Pratt Groberg (Katie); daughter, Pamela Groberg; brother, Robert LeGrande Pratt (Heilke); sister-in-law, Carolyn Pratt; sister, Sharon Pratt Wilbur (Curt); 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren with two on the way; and multiple brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claron Ure and Virginia Reeves Pratt; and brother, Stephen Pratt.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2024, at the Idaho Falls Shamrock Park Ward, 3195 S Holmes Avenue. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
