With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our sweet Jill Waldram Leishman Jolley—a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend—who brought warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength to all who knew her. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 86 on April 22, 2025, returning to her loving Heavenly Father. She was joyfully reunited with her beloved son Mark, son-in-law Kurt, brothers Garth and Scott, and her dear parents, Owen and Venese Leishman.

Jill was born on July 10, 1938, in Boise, Idaho and moved to a farm in the Rexburg area when she was an infant. Throughout her life, she exemplified unwavering faith, quiet determination, and deep perseverance in all she did. She embraced life fully, serving faithfully in numerous church callings—including Relief Society President, Mission Mom, General Authority’s wife, Temple Matron, teacher, music leader, and ordinance worker. Jill had a heart for service and a deep love for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

A gifted homemaker, Jill was known for her exceptional cooking and baking—especially her homemade bread, jam, and canned goods. Her home was a place of love and refuge, where her family and her faith brought her greatest joy. Jill also had a great love for the outdoors, BYU football and basketball, cheering for the Utah Jazz, and playing golf—though it was often the companionship and conversation on the golf course she treasured most; although her 3 holes-in-one were very exciting for her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, J. Kent Jolley, and six of their seven children: Ann Jolley of Ammon, ID; Mindy (Grant) Taylor of Mesa, AZ; Elaine Shipley of Kaysville, UT; Lesa (Ryan) Jackson of Rexburg, ID; Jeff (Jared) Jolley of Salt Lake City, UT; and Jenny (Jordan) Nielson of Spanish Fork, UT; and brothers, Terry (Sandra) Leishman and Bron (Chris) Leishman, both of Rexburg. She leaves behind a posterity she adored—20 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way—each one a testament to her enduring love and legacy.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 27th, from 5:30–7:00 PM at the Rexburg Center Stake Center, 590 Summerwood Drive. Funeral services will follow on Monday, April 28th, at 11:00 AM at the same location, with a viewing beforehand from 9:30–10:40 AM.
