Obituary
Josh Beard
May 20th, 1978 - April 3rd, 2022
Joshua John Beard, 43, of Ammon, passed away April 3, 2022, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and One Source Home Health & Hospice.
Josh was born May 20, 1978, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Steve Beard and Debra Lynn Chapple Schwieder Vincent. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1996. He also graduated Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego Boot Camp in 1996, and served from that time until 2000.
On September 9, 2001, he married Abby Bargelt in Rigby, Idaho. They were blessed with two children, Treyson and Tyhler. Josh and Abby decided they were better off as friends so they were later divorced.
On July 11, 2015, Josh married Breanne Zachary, along with her three children, Halle Beard, Sophie Sandoval, and Maddox Sandoval, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Josh didn’t like the word “step,” so Abby and Breanne came up with the word “bonus.” Josh became a bonus dad, Breanne became a bonus mom, and their kids became bonus siblings. Josh and Breanne made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Josh worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technician at International Isotopes. He loved his work family.
Josh didn’t believe in hobbies, he believed in passions. One of his passions was golf, and he was grateful to have seen his memorial on the 18th hole at Sage Lakes Golf Course, provided by his work family before he passed. His other passion was the Philadelphia Eagles football team. His kids worked hard to get a video message from the Eagles safety, Anthony Harris, sending Josh some well wishes, and he was grateful he was able to see that before passing as well.
If you were Josh’s friend, you were his family, and he was the one who was always called, and would always be there no matter what. Josh has had many K-9 companions in his life, but his current buddy is named Snoop. Josh loved putting Snoop in his Eagles jersey and cuddling up while watching the games together.
Josh never took life for granted, and as soon as he was put on Hospice, the first thing he did was write each of his kids a letter filled with advice and love for the moments he will physically miss out on. Josh never ran out of love to offer, and never ran out of hugs to give. He was known for his top-notch hugs, infectious laugh, and picture-perfect smile.
Since Josh knew his death was coming, he wanted to personally add this message to his obituary: “I still have the best beard up here. Peace out for now, I love you all!”
Josh is survived by his loving wife, Breanne Beard of Ammon; son, Treyson Beard of Boise, ID; daughter, Tyhler Beard of Boise, ID; daughter, Halle Beard of Idaho Falls; daughter, Sophie Sandoval of Idaho Falls; son, Maddox Sandoval of Idaho Falls; father, Steve Beard of Idaho Falls; step-father, Jim Vincent of Idaho Falls; brother, Ryan Beard of Idaho Falls; and grandmother, Rita Beard Curtis of Idaho Falls.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Schwieder Vincent; grandmother, Karolyn Woolstenhulme; step-father, Derrald Schwieder; grandfather, Bobbi Chapple; uncle, Robbie Chapple; uncle, Randy Beard; and grandfather, John Lee Beard.
