Joyce Brown Rogers
October 26th, 1942 - November 26th, 2023
Joyce (Brown) Rogers, 81, departed this earthly life on November 26, 2023, to reunite with her beloved husband, Ronald Dale Rogers. Joyce was born to Elmo Raymond Brown and Neva Juneta (Hansen) Brown on October 26, 1942, in St. Anthony, Idaho.
She was raised in Chester, ID and attended the University of Montana earning a B.Ed. Throughout her career in education, Joyce was always thoughtful of her students and dedicated herself to teaching special education in underserved schools for more than 20 years. Joyce met Ron while teaching in Montana and they married on January 26, 1968. They settled in Arizona and raised their three children in Flagstaff and Glendale.
Joyce was passionate about her family and never missed an opportunity to spend time together. She especially enjoyed traveling with sister-in-law Marlene (Pat) Rogers and spring training season with sister-in-law Rosalie (Ron) Shook. Whether at her grandchildren’s activities, graduations, lunch dates, or holiday gatherings, Joyce was always present in her love of family.
Joyce will be greatly missed by her children Loren (Melody) Rogers, Julie (Joseph) Pinuelas, Robin (Rick) Jors; grandchildren Melissa, Bret, Alexia, Garrett, Aiden; three great grandchildren and her sister Petera Hibbert and brother Thomas Brown; and many in-laws, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 E 1st N, St. Anthony, Idaho 83445 on Tuesday, December 19th from 11am – 12:30pm.
Interment will follow visitation in the Pineview Cemetery, 3609 E 1300 Rd N, Ashton, ID 83420
at approximately 1:00 p.m.
