Kaleb Jordan Saunders, 29, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 25, 2022, at his home.

Jordan was born July 21, 1993, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. When Jordan was 2 ½ years old, his dad married Misty and she brought along her son Bryant. Jordan instantly had a mom and big brother overnight. Within the next three years, Jordan became a big brother to Cheyann and Dezmond. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. He attended AH Bush Elementary, Taylorview Junior High, graduated from Lincoln High School as Valedictorian.

Jordan joined the United States Army 2012. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. The last two years he served in Okinawa, Japan, where he was Honorably discharged. After his time in the military, he returned to Idaho Falls where he worked as a tradesman.

Even though his battle with depression ended his life early, he fought hard and with all he had. He was so proud of his siblings and loved all of them so much. We are still so incredibly proud of Jordan and all he accomplished in his life. He was so funny! Even when his jokes were terrible, they still made you laugh. He was so kind and would help anyone who needed it. Even though he is gone, we know he is still up there laughing and loving on us. Although his time in the military was short, he served much longer. He was so proud to be a veteran and was proud of his sister when she joined the Navy in 2015.

Jordan was very creative and talented. He loved art! He was amazing at graffiti art and wood burning art. He loved the outdoors and would rather be hiking or fishing than anything else. He liked just being in the mountains.

Jordan is survived by his mother, Misty Wheeler (Richard Hicks) of Idaho Falls, ID; father, William Dave (Tina) Saunders; brother, Bryant Timothy (Destinee) Wheeler of Idaho Falls, ID, sister, Cheyann Faith (Natasha) Rodriquez, brother, Dezmond William Saunders; niece, Belle Kathleen, nephew, Carter Logan, nephew, Archer Bryant; grandparents Timothy and Marge Wheeler; and grandparents, Mel Saunders and Carol Saunders.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, LeeAnn Wheeler.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
