Kelly Rex Davis, age 77, of Ammon died at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Kelly was born June 13, 1947 in Idaho Falls, Idaho a son of George Morgan Davis and Betty Dayton Rounds Davis. When he was 18 months old, he contracted Polio, but that did not slow him down. He attended schools in Idaho Falls and after high school graduation he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Hawaiian Islands. When he returned, he married his high school sweetheart Susan Lee Kirby for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls temple.

Kelly worked in the upholstery business and started working at car dealerships. He eventually ventured out on his own and started Davis Upholstery. In 1975 Susan was diagnosed with transverse myelitis and was paralyzed from the chest down. His self-employment allowed him to work from home and be close to Susan to care for her needs, which he did amazingly to the end!

Kelly enjoyed golfing, fishing, and taking drives to random places with Susan. His drives were always an adventure because he very rarely followed the same roads to his destinations.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Lee Davis of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Rex (Vicki) Davis of Logan, UT; son, Shane (Nancy) Davis of Bella Vista, AR; son, Blake (Robin) Davis of Centerville, UT; daughter, Tiffanie (Sean) Fitzpatrick of Elk Grove, CA; brother, Dennis (Anita) Davis of Centerville, UT; 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Betty Davis; sisters Lori Ann Schaugaard and Jolene Jardine; brother Kevin Davis; and granddaughter Sadie Davis.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Ammon LDS 4th Ward Chapel (3000 Central Ave, Ammon, ID). The family will meet with friends on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Ammon 4th Ward Chapel and again on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the church. Interment will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
