Kenneth J Taylor, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 9, 2024, at Lily & Syringa Assisted Living Center.

Ken was born April 12, 1940, in Payson, Utah, to Ned Tanner Taylor and Edna June Mortensen Taylor. He grew up and attended schools in Payson and graduated from Payson High School. He also attended Utah State University and the University of Utah.

On June 16, 1960, he married LuAnn Harmer in Payson, Utah. Ken and LuAnn made their home in Idaho Falls, where he worked as a quality engineer at the Idaho National Laboratory. He worked on the Minute Man Missiles Project. LuAnn passed away in 2012. Ken married Connie Goodwin on June 28, 2014.

Ken was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served faithfully in many callings throughout his life.

He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and skiing, and was a ski instructor at Alta Ski Resort. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

Ken is survived by his wife, Connie Taylor of Idaho Falls, ID; children, Lisa (Douglas) Walker of Idaho Falls, ID, Greg Taylor of Idaho Falls, ID, and Jill (Mike) Fish of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Nedra Hanks of Salem, UT; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

He was preceded in death by parents, first wife, LuAnn Taylor, daughter, Wendy Taylor Bills, brother, Lynn Taylor, and brother-in-law, Shirl Hanks.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue.
