Kernan Joseph Longua Jr., 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 11, 2024, at home with his loving wife by his side. He was under the care of Enhabit Hospice.

Kernan was born November 5, 1964, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Kernan Joseph Longua Sr. and Janice Kirby Longua. He grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho, most of his life with a small stint just on the outside of Pittsburgh. He also attended IFHS, then received his Bachelor Degree in Business from ISU.

On July 7, 1990, he married Tamara Irene Pendlebury in Idaho Falls. Kernan and Tamara made their home in Idaho Falls, where Kernan worked as a Security Specialist for INL.

He was an avid participant with the local Idaho State Practical Shooters Association. He loved to travel and collected poker chips and shot glasses from places he visited. Kernan enjoyed watching his son play sports and hanging out with his friends.

Kernan is survived by his wife, Tamara Irene Longua of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Kernan James Longua of Idaho Falls, ID; and mother; Janice K Longua of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kernan “Kerry” Joseph Longua; and sister, Karen Jan Lyman.

A gathering will be held 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the hurricane relief fund of your choosing.
