Kirk Keith Clark, 69, of Ammon, passed away September 8, 2024, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and Symbii Hospice.

Kirk was born November 22, 1954, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Keith Harold Clark and Marcella Catherine Gonder Clark. He attended Hillview Elementary, Ammon Jr. High, and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1973. He also attended ISU, and graduated in 1998, with his bachelors degree.

On July 15, 1983, he married Kathy Lou Dietrich in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Kirk and Kathy made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Kirk worked security for the INL, advancing to other positions throughout his career.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the L.A. area, Spanish speaking. He served in many other callings such as High Priest Group Leader, and Elders Quorum President. He was a lifetime golfer and enjoyed all sports, passing that love on to his children and grandchildren.

He was a lifelong fan of BYU sports, faithfully cheering on the Cougars, no matter the outcome. His passion for BYU was passed down to his children and grandchildren, ensuring the legacy of Cougar pride to continue through the generations.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Kathy Lou Clark of Ammon, ID; son, Gus (Mara) Clark of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Ian (Savanna) Clark of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Katie (Conrad) Schneider of Idaho Falls; and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Marcella Clark; brothers, Todd Clark, Mike Clark, and Kim Clark.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3000 Central Avenue, with Bishop Mark Johnson officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, at Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in the Moreland Cemetery.
