LaDee Olaveson Raymond

LaDee Olaveson Raymond, age 75 of Menan, passed away peacefully at her home in Menan, surrounded by family, Sunday, March 30, 2025.

LaDee was born December 29, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the fifth child to Lamar (Bud) Olaveson, and Thora Marie Hansen Olaveson. She graduated from Rigby High School in 1968, and continued her education at Ricks College and Brigham Young University, where she graduated with her teaching degree in 1972. She married Noel Marion Raymond July 30, 1971 in the Idaho Falls Temple. LaDee taught school for 21 years where she touched countless lives.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life. LaDee served in many capacities and callings. She and Noel served a mission in the South America South Area Office and resided in Buenos Aeries, Argentina from March 2012 to February 2014.

She and Noel have four children and 27 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Wayne, a sister Faye, and a grandson Weston, as well as many beloved aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, daughters Margo (Jarod) Maw, and Marcia (Ryan) Archibald, and sons Roger (Cara) Raymond and Rick (Kimberly) Raymond and 26 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Menan (3547 East Menan Lorenzo Highway, Menan, Idaho 83434). The family will visit with friends at the Menan Church, Friday, April 11th, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, April 12th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
