Larry Richard Nelson

Larry Richard Nelson, 46, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at his home.

Larry was born on November 22, 1977, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Paul Nelson and Tina Dopp Nelson. He grew up in Chubbuck, Idaho, where he graduated from Highland High School in 1996. After graduation, he went to Idaho State University and studied culinary arts.

After high school, Larry married in 1997 and later divorced in 2012. During his marriage, the couple welcomed three children, two boys and one girl.

He was a brilliant cook and home chef and worked in several restaurants in Pocatello and Idaho Falls. He spent time working in Western Wyoming in construction. Larry loved fishing, camping, longboarding, and music. He loved spending time at Bear Lake, swimming, 4-wheeling, and jet skiing. He was an avid gamer.

He is survived by his parents of Chubbuck, Idaho; his sons: Seancey Nelson and Skyler Nelson both of Pocatello, Idaho; daughter, Anjelica Salem Nelson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sisters: Dottie (David) Ashby, Jenny Mitchell, and Andrea (Joel) Dixon all of Pocatello, Idaho; brother, Troy Nelson of Idaho Falls, Idaho and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Larry and Sandra Janning, Enid and Dorothy Allred, Sidney Dopp and Merlin Nelson.
