Obituary
Lucas David Hirschi
February 16th, 2007 - April 13th, 2025
Lucas David Hirschi passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 18. We know that he was embraced with love unbounded by his cherished grandpa and grandma and most importantly, his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Lucas was born on February 16, 2007, in Guatemala, and his family brought him home in November 2007. He was loved every second by each of us no matter the time or distance and that will continue forever! We look forward to the day when we hold him in our arms again.
Lucas loved hard and he played hard. His greatest desire was to make a difference in this world and we can each attest that he did that for each of our worlds.
Lucas loved soccer, God, his friends, his teachers, and was fiercely protective of his mom and his sisters. His soccer friends and coaches blessed his life more than can be expressed.
Lucas loved his friends and teachers at Hillcrest High School, Technical Careers High School, and at his job at Wendy’s. He recently fell in love with the clients he served at the Adventure Center.
He is survived by his mom, Kathi Hirschi of Ammon, ID; and his sisters, Olivia (Joshua) Kraus, and Maialinn Hirschi (fiancé Arnold Felipe), both of Ammon, ID. He is also loved by so many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will always have a special place in his heart for his aunt, Kristi (RJ) Schulz, who helped raise him for many years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Brent Hirschi and Evelyn Owens Hirschi; and his aunt, Teri Linn Hirschi, who he is just now getting to know.
Lucas came to change the world for the better. He changed all of us who knew him and now it is up to us to keep up the fight. Love those who are struggling. The darkness may have won this battle, but it will never win the war! Jesus lives and we will see our boy again.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Ammon Foothills Stake, 3934 E. 49th S. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior, both times at the church. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery.
