Lucinda Hill Williams, a life-long resident of Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home November 21, 2023. Lucinda was born October 15, 1932, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Charles Hill and Mary Murri Hill.

She grew up in St. Anthony and learned to work hard on the family ranch and dry farm. It was there she developed her love of horses. She rode in the Fremont Mounties, a posse organized by her dad. She was proud to carry the American flag in parades and rodeos.

She graduated from South Fremont high school in 1950. She attended college at BYU where she was crowned rodeo queen. After a short time at Utah State, she returned home to Idaho where she began her working career. She met and married Richard “Dick” Williams in 1953. They made their home in Idaho Falls for the next 70 years. During that time, they welcomed three children, Roxanne, Rae and Shane.

She spent the majority of her career working as an account specialist for the Bank of Commerce and then Key Bank.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many leadership positions. She particularly loved working with the youth.

Lucinda has always had a love of music and dancing. She was involved in teaching dancing to youth and was a part of several singing groups. She and Dick also square danced for many years with the Idaho Falls Promenaders.

After retirement Lucinda and Dick managed pumpkin and Christmas tree lots in California for more than 20 years. Her ability to relate to people and befriend employees and customers alike contributed to their top seller position. When the tree season was finished, they spent the winter months in Yuma Arizona. There, through golf, cards, and music jams they established many meaningful and long-lasting friendships.

Relationships defined so much of her life. Whether it was the pharmacist, the boys who cut her lawn, her children’s friends, or her lifetime friends, the P.I.G.S. (people in good standing), time and time again Lucinda would draw them into her circle. She never missed showing appreciation to others for their efforts. Often that appreciation was in the form of a Pepsi, a KitKat bar or a hug.

She loved her family, and as the family grew, she embraced her role as grandmother and great-grandmother with grace and love.

Lucinda is survived by her three children, Roxanne (Ken) Bradshaw of Eagle Mountain, Ut; Rae (John) Costello of Montclair, VA; and Shane (Sharon) of Star, ID; her sister Carolyn (J Boyd) of Star Valley, WY; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Hill, her siblings, Grant Hill, Lucille Hill Roberts, Althea Hill Worrell and Wilma Hill Smith.

We express our appreciation to the employees of Brio Home Health and Hospice and the many hours they spent caring for mom to make her comfortable.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. Family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. and on Monday one hour to the service. Interment will be at the Wilford Cemetery near St. Anthony.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.woodfuneralhome.com
