Marcille Anne Woodhouse peacefully passed away on April 11, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sibling, and friend.

Marcille was born on March 14, 1939, in Springville, Utah, to John LeRoy and Anna Helena Savage. Her parents joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when Marcille was 9 years old, and she loved The Church and its community throughout her life. Marcille served a mission in the Western States Region, where she found everlasting love and her eternal companion, Ted Hansen Woodhouse. They exchanged vows in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 28, 1965, and they started their life together in Idaho Falls in 1970.

Throughout her life, Marcille was a joyous caretaker. She loved caring for her husband, five children, and all around her. She was deeply involved in the church, and she built many great friendships through her jobs at the banks. Countless people felt Marcille’s love through her cross-stitching, sewing, gardening, and canning. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she invited her loved ones to share Santa’s arrival just to see the joy on all their faces. Her family blossomed to include 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, whom she cherished. Her warm spirit touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark of love and kindness.

Marcille is survived by her devoted husband, Ted Hansen Woodhouse; children: Ted LeRoy (Kathy) Woodhouse, Marc Savage Woodhouse, Mary Jane (Shane) Cottrell, John Daniel Woodhouse, and Jerri Lynn (Paul) Hemenway; along with her sister, Janet (Terry) Selin. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Hazel Clyde; and brothers: Clarence Savage, Roy Savage, Robert Savage, and John Savage.

We extend our heartfelt invitation to join us in honoring and celebrating the life of our beloved Marcille Anne Woodhouse.
