Max Allen Judy, 69, of Ammon, passed away July 20, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from a tragic accident while preparing to attend his family’s annual Clifford Judy Reunion.

Max was born April 7, 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Rulon Clifford Judy and Marjorie Merrill Judy. He grew up enjoying life and attending schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School.

Max made his home in Ammon, Idaho. He worked on the family farm, and later in life, finished his career in the transportation department. He had a tender way with animals and loved them all. For most of his life, Max was found with one, of many, of his beloved dogs at his side. Max had a deep love for his family and enjoyed hunting and snowmachining with them through the years. Max looked forward to and enjoyed visiting with those who came to the house to visit with him and his parents. Max had a great love for the outdoors. The highlight of his year was the annual family reunion held at Clifford’s Mountain. Max could always be counted on to make a delicious Dutch-oven fruit cobbler for the family.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Max served various callings in the church throughout his life. He was called to serve his mission in Rapid City, South Dakota. Those he met and helped while serving were true blessings in his life. Max obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in his younger years and worked in the Scouting program most of his adult life.

Max is survived by his siblings, Margene (Lennis) Tirrell, Lyle Judy, Dan (Carla) Judy, and DiAnn Pierson, all residing in Ammon, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Marjorie Judy; his brother, Douglas Judy; sisters-in-law, Terry Fisher Judy and Donean Robertson Judy; and niece, Lori Judy.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Idaho Falls Stonehaven Ward, 2055 Coronado Street, with Bishop Brandon Woolley officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. The burial will be held in the Ammon Cemetery.
