Paul Wilson Kent, 74, of Ammon, passed away August 12, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. He was under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

Paul was born September 8, 1949, in Malad, Idaho, to Dawn Kent and Norma Hill Kent. He grew up and attended schools in Malad and graduated from Malad High School. He served in the United States Air Force.

On January 6, 1968, he married Della Louise Asay in Malad. They were later divorced.

On June 7, 1997, he married Linda Lorraine Moore in Coeur d’Alene. Paul and Linda made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where Paul was a retired nuclear mechanic for EG&G.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and snow machines, restoring old cars, going to rod runs and car shows. He loved to show his 1958 Ford Thunderbird, 1934 Ford 5-window Coupe, 1951 Merc, and 1957 Thunderbird.

Paul is survived by his wife, Linda Lorraine Kent of Ammon, ID; sons, Todd (Marci) Kent and Steven (Shana) Kumpf, both of Ammon, ID; daughters, Misty (Michael) Taylor of Idaho Falls, ID and Phyllisha Harris of Ammon, ID; brothers, Greg (Ruth) Kent of Puyallup, WA, Mark (Vicky) Kent of Roberts, ID, and Tim (Sheila) Kent of Idaho Falls, ID; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dawn and Norma Kent, and brothers, LaRell Kent and Joe Kent.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Ammon Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to services at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Air Force Honor Guard.
