Robert John Clausen was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother and uncle, and friend to many. He embraced each day with joy, always carrying an optimistic outlook on life. His greatest goal was to spend time with his family and cultivate meaningful relationships with those around him. Robert’s love for his family, friends, and work was evident in all he did, and he will be profoundly missed.

Born to Pete and Joyce Clausen, Rob grew up alongside his four siblings in the Little Rocky Mountains of Montana, where adventure was always close at hand. He spent his formative years working in the family’s construction business, developing a deep passion for woodworking and stonework. His homes stand as lasting tributes to his beautiful craftsmanship. Rob’s love for woodworking inspired his son, Remington, who has since pursued a career in construction, following his father’s passion.

On Valentine’s Day in 1996, Rob married Rachel on a heart-shaped beach in the Virgin Islands, marking the beginning of a life filled with travel and shared adventures. In 1999, they welcomed triplets: Isabelle, Remington, and Hunter. Although they lost Hunter, Rob is now reunited with him in heaven, where they are surely walking on the beach together.

Rob built a successful career as a financial advisor, starting in life insurance during college and later founding his own firm in 1998. For decades, he helped clients achieve their financial goals, a legacy that was strengthened when his daughter Isabelle joined him as a business partner in 2020. Working alongside her was one of his greatest joys.

In 2006, Rob and Rachel began splitting their time between Arizona and Idaho, savoring 18 years of beautiful Arizona winters and breathtaking Idaho summers. His love for the outdoors and travel took him on many adventures, especially to the Caribbean with his family. He also shared memorable outdoor trips to Alaska and Montana with Remington and his son-in-law, Aaron.

Rob’s life was rich with passions: hunting, woodworking, golfing, and time spent with family and friends. His infectious humor brought laughter to everyone he met. As a proud member of Four Peaks Rotary, Rob was committed to serving the Fountain Hills community, always eager to give back.

In his later years, Rob’s faith deepened significantly. A lifelong Christian, he developed a strong devotion to God, fully trusting Jesus with every aspect of his life. Rob found purpose in supporting others on their healing journeys, offering them hope and comfort through his own experience. He shared the message that God would guide them, providing strength, just as He had been with Rob. Rob helped lead a Healing Strong cancer support group, where he offered guidance and encouragement to others navigating their healing journeys.

Rob passed away on September 4, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith. His kind heart and generous spirit touched many lives, and he will be remembered for the joy and laughter he brought to others. We love you so much, Robert. You will always be missed.
