Sandy Beery
June 20th, 1953 - January 15th, 2025
Sandra “Sandy” Daniels Beery, 71, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home on January 15, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Sandy was born June 20, 1953, in Pocatello, Idaho, to David D. Daniels Jr. and Evelyn MacNeil. She grew up in Pocatello, Shoshone, and other parts of Idaho, graduating from Highland High School before earning her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate at Idaho State University.
On October 15, 1971, Sandy married the love of her life, William “Bill” Edward Beery Jr., in Pocatello, Idaho. Their union was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 24, 1975. Together, they built a beautiful life and home filled with love, creativity, and dedication to their family.
With her formative years spent on a homestead in Shoshone, Sandy developed a deep sense of self-sufficiency, a quality she carried throughout her life. She also treasured family traditions and history, collecting antiques that held stories of generations past. She was a storyteller in her own right, weaving family history through objects, crafts, and memories.
Sandy’s love for the outdoors was a cornerstone of her life. She found joy and solace at the family cabin, where she would fish, spend time with family, and revel in nature’s beauty. This love of the mountains and wilderness became a gift she passed on to her children and grandchildren.
In her retirement, Sandy and Bill moved to Idaho Falls, where they cherished being closer to friends and family. Her warm and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Sandy is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, William Edward Beery; her four children: Kayce (Justin) Steadman of Idaho Falls, ID; Jennifer (Aaron) Hale of Meridian, ID, Mandee (Michael) Babino of Clarkston, WA, and Steven (Whitney) Beery of Salt Lake City, UT; sister, Lisa (Morris) Cody of Idaho Falls, ID; six grandchildren, Rylee (Gavin) Wright, Parker Steadman, Sera (Jake) Weber, Madison Hale, McKay Hale, and Ashton Hale; and two great-grandchildren, Jareth Steadman and Harlie Wright.
She was preceded in death by her father, David D. Daniels, Jr.; mother, Evelyn Miller; and step-father, Earl Robert Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
