Obituary
Saralee Ann Howard
May 3rd, 1956 - January 27th, 2025
Saralee Ann Davis Howard, 68, born in Great Falls, Montana, on May 3, 1956, passed away peacefully in her home with her husband and daughters by her side on January 27, 2025.
Born with Montana pride, the sixth child, fifth girl, to Hazel Joanne Chryst and Denzel Mathew Davis, Saralee spent her younger years in Shelby, Montana, where she attended St. Williams Catholic grade school, followed by Shelby High School for grades 9-10. At age 16, her parents relocated to Idaho Falls, where she attended and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1974.
She met John David Howard in high school and they were destined to be together forever. They married on June 21, 1974, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Idaho Falls. In January of 1977, they welcomed their first daughter, Nikole Marie. In March of that same year, they bought their first home in Cloverdale Estates. They welcomed their second daughter, Andrea Jean, in August of 1980. Saralee was a wife, a mother of two daughters, and a homemaker. Through lots of home improvements and projects, that house was their home for 26 years.
After being at home with her daughters for years, Sara returned to the workforce as a Nurse’s Aide at Good Samaritan of Idaho Falls for a few months before starting at EIRMC on the 5th floor as a Ward Clerk. In 1989, she started with Dr. Huntington, an oncologist, where she remained for 16 years.
Sara enjoyed so many activities at home and on the go throughout life. She enjoyed camping, boating, waterskiing, snow skiing, white water rafting, bowling, and golfing with John. She loved having social gatherings at her home with friends and family. She was a great homemaker in her younger years, sewing, canning, macrame, and crafting. She was a Girl Scout leader, volunteered with the Kelly Canyon Ski Patrol for 10 years, and served some time with the American Cancer Society during her career.
Saralee was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Denzel Davis, Dewey Bingham, Leo and Ruth Howard, and sisters, Lexie Hagar and Diana DeMarc. She is survived by her dear husband, John Howard; daughters, Nikole (James) Fitzgerald and Andrea Rodgers; and grandchildren, Gavin, Maggie, and Molly.
