Sean Peter “Bob” Adams, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 29, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital from complications during a heart procedure.

Sean was born August 29, 1962, in Portland, Oregon, to John and Gloria (Lenox) Adams. He grew up and attended grade school in Olympia, Washington. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1980. He was always known for driving a 7-up truck that he had restored. After high school, he attended Chemeketa in Salem, Oregon, where he achieved his Associate’s Degree in Auto Tech. Sean was baptized Roman Catholic and was an active member in Pope Saint John Paul II Church in Idaho Falls.

Sean always had a love for culinary arts; he even took a course led by an Italian Sous-chef. He worked in the food industry for many years including JB’s, LeBaron’s, and Stardust, just to name a few. After a work accident, he was unable to work in the restaurant industry, which eventually led him to taking up a new passion of being an insurance agent where he was able to work side-by-side with his wife each day.

While working at JB’s in the early 90’s, Sean met the love of his life, Misty. They were inseparable so much that they married on June 17, 1993. The love and dynamic this couple had was beyond powerful. They both would strive to put each other’s needs above their own. Their life took place in Idaho Falls where they created a family with their three children. His dedication to his family knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Sean adored his family. He would always be seen with his wife, kids, and grandkids. He loved to camp, fish, fly airplanes, and race boats at Gem Lake with his best friend. He loved motorcycles, and the grandkids loved that grandpa had a love for SpongeBob and could even imitate his laugh.

Sean took up the love of entering food competitions for Idaho Falls magazine, in which he won many awards. He was most famous for his buffalo dip. Each time he would make a batch, he would make extra and hand deliver containers to not only friends and family, but also to strangers, local radio stations, and the judges from the contest.

Sean had a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone, with nothing expected in return. He was active in Scouts (Troop 310) where he was able to help his son achieve his Eagle Scout. He never missed a year helping with Christmas baskets, food drives, Pinewood Derby, and volunteering at the tiger ear booth at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.

He was known for his kind and giving nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He approached every interaction with warmth and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to have crossed his path. Though his life ended so soon and sudden, his memory will always be cherished, and his loving spirit and genuine demeanor will live on, deeply missed, but never forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, Misty of Idaho Falls; daughter, Ashley (Wade) of Idaho Falls; son, Nick (Kali) of Idaho Falls; son, Kyle of Idaho Falls; daughter, Tyana (Azael) of Idaho Falls; his service animal, Trevor; daughter-in-law, Cassi High of Rigby; sister, Lorraine (Anthony Daniel) of San Antonio; brother, Bryan Peterson (Laurie) of Idaho Falls; and 12 grandchildren, Braxton, Cooper, Brooklynn, Aedin, Axel, Alaya, Tailyn, Dax, Nicole, Alec, Claudio, and Emma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gloria Adams; son-in-law, Jean Hurrle; twin sisters, Maureen and Irene; brother-in-law, Michael Ioannides; and his three adored dogs, Kona, Toby, and Wick.

A gathering for friends and family will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.

A rosary will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1690 E. 17th Street. A Mass in Sean’s honor will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
