Sharon Howe
September 23rd, 1946 - December 30th, 2024
Sharon Marie Howe, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 30, 2024, at Madison Memorial Hospital.
Sharon was born September 23, 1946, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to Donald Paul Sholder and Rita Pearl Etters Sholder. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School.
She worked hard throughout life and had a job since she was a sophomore in High School. Sharon joined the bowling family when she started working at Hollywood Bowl and later Plaza Lanes in 1976. She loved to bowl and moved her way up in the bowling community. She was elected to the board of directors for the Women’s Idaho State Bowling HSSC in 1989, then elected as 3rd VP in 2000, 2nd VP in 2006, and 1st VP in 2013; serving until the merge when she retired. Bowling was a big part of her life.
On December 2, 1964, she married Dennis John Howe in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Sharon and Dennis made their home in Idaho Falls where Sharon was a devoted mother to 2 children all while working.
She was a devoted Christian, enjoyed puzzles, internet painting, and loved her needlepoint crafts. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Dennis John Howe of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lisa R. Allen of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Melissa Dawn Adams of Gresham, OR; son-in-law, Robert Walters; sister, Renee Jones of Idaho Falls, ID; 7 grandchildren, Kaytin and Kyle Keyes, Jason and Chrissy Harper, Kahmi and James Murray, and Kiler Allen; and 8 great-grandchildren, Brayson Harper, Taylor Murray, Jayden Murray, Channing Harper, Thomas John Harper, Keeston Keyes, Kateley Keyes, and Kyson Keyes; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Rita Sholder; grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Etters, and Grandma and Grandpa Sholder; and grandson, Tyson “T.J.” Harper.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will meet with friends and family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025, and from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Both visitations will be at Wood Funeral Home.
