Shirley Lee Ueda, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 18, 2024, at Fairwinds-Sand Creek Retirement Community. She was under the care of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice and her loving family.

Shirley was born April 13, 1935, in Nampa, Idaho, to George Watson Brown and Argie Marie Fine Brown. She grew up and attended schools in Melba and earned her GED.

On January 5, 1968, she married Sho Ueda in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Shirley and Sho made their home in Nampa, where Shirley worked as a bookkeeper for Evans Building Supply.

She was a member of the Idaho State Bowling Association Hall of Fame, and she was President of the State Women’s Bowling Association. Bowling was a big influence in her life. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting. Her family was everything to her.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Debbie A. Homer-Hofhines of Rexburg, ID; son, Lonny (Kathy) Pancheri of Nampa, ID; son, Rex (Shellie) Pancheri of Nampa, ID; daughter, Lori (Guy) Strayer of Cleburne, TX; son, Kim (Angie) Ueda of Pocatello, ID; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sho Ueda; brother, Stanley Brown; and brother, Rex Brown.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Melba Cemetery, 7277 Base Line Road, Melba, Idaho. A Celebration of Life will follow from 12-2 p.m. at the Melba Senior Center, 115 Base Line Road in Melba.
