Terry Lane

Terry Theodore Lane II, affectionately known as “Teddy”, passed away on December 26, 2024, just days before his 54th birthday.

Born on December 29, 1970, to Terry Lane and Elisabeth Jane Ault Lane, Terry was the eldest of four children. Terry grew up in California, before moving to Mesa, Arizona, where he met Angela Hollie Goodwin, the love of his life and eternal companion. The couple married and were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on November 24, 1995, sharing 29 years of marriage in Idaho Falls.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Terry served a mission from 1991–1993 in Boston, Massachusetts, and absolutely loved it. As a member of the Thunder Ridge 1st Ward, Terry cherished the friendships he and Angela formed. He had a passion for woodworking and technology, always staying current with the latest IT innovations and generously offering his expertise to help others.

Throughout his life, Terry faced numerous health challenges, particularly his lifelong battle with diabetes. Despite these obstacles, he remained resilient and never allowed his medical trials to define him. Terry’s perseverance was evident in his willingness to show up when needed and his efforts to enjoy every precious moment, never taking for granted the time he was able to spend with Angela while on this earth.

In his final moments, Terry was surrounded by love, with his wife and mother-in-law by his side. After receiving a priesthood blessing in ICU room 229, he peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father at 11:34 a.m. We know that Terry was greeted by his mother, Elisabeth, his brother, Michael, stepmother, Mary and his father-in-law Evan Goodwin, in what could only be imagined as a wonderful reunion.

Terry is survived by his eternal companion, Angela Lane; his father, Terry Lane; his stepfather, Bob (Linda) Krause; his brother, Brian (Sherla) Krause; his sister, Cheryl (Fernando) Villafana. He also leaves behind several in-laws: Nina Lynn Goodwin; Susan (Evan) Goodwin; Kristin (Burke) Goodwin Magee; Michelle Goodwin (Bill) Siwek; Courtney Goodwin; Marcus (Stephanie) Goodwin; Nicholas (Elizabeth) Cunningham; Whitney Goodwin; and Matthew (Katie) Goodwin; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces who will miss him dearly.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Elisabeth, his brother, Michael, stepmother, Mary Lane, his father-in-law, Evan Horrocks Goodwin, and brother-in-law, Jonathan Goodwin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Thunder Ridge 1st Ward, 4459 John Adams Parkway in Ammon, with Bishop Kelly Ottley officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church. All are welcome to join in celebrating the beautiful life of Terry Theodore Lane II.
