Tim Curzon, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2024.

Tim loved his family and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, target practicing, tending to his chickens, making knives, and spending quality time with his family.

Tim was born on June 16, 1953, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Ruth Curzon, who had lost her husband, Leo, prior to Tim’s birth. They lived in the Inkom, Idaho area until Ruth married E. Glen Johnson, and they moved to the Firth, Kimball area. Tim attended Firth High School where he obtained the State Championship in Wrestling in his Senior year.

Tim met his wife, Catherine, on a blind date on March 7, 1978, and they were by each other’s side up until his passing. They married on August 12, 1978. They have two children, Jenniffer Lindsay (Michael) and Blaine Curzon (Mandy). They have 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and one on the way.

Tim worked in the concrete construction field most of his married life, even opening his own construction company, T & M Construction, that he worked at for over 20 years until 2007. He then went to Vo-Tech to learn truck driving and get his CDL license, and shortly afterward, did a little long-haul trucking for Doug Andrus here in Idaho Falls. He soon found that long-haul wasn’t his cup of tea, it was too hard on him being away from home, so he left Doug Andrus. His friend, Dan, who owns Fine Dirt, offered him a job driving dump truck and he absolutely loved that job, but had to leave in 2020 due to arthritis pain and fear of bringing home Covid to his wife. He retired along with her and they shared every day together.

Tim is survived by his wife, Catherine; his daughter, Jenniffer Lindsay (Michael); his son, Blaine (Mandy); his 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and one on the way; and his sister, Lori Rees (Chaz).

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father, and three brothers.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road in Ammon. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
