Timothy “Timmy” John Thiel, was a kid so full of life, he used it all up in 31 years. His death was unexpected, as addiction took him from us too soon, on October 9, 2023 at his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

He was born on April 15, 1992, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Brian Christopher Thiel and Angie Dee Green. Timmy attended and graduated from school in Idaho Falls. He worked for several years in the trucking industry and had recently gone back to school to become a barber.

As a kid, Timmy loved BMX racing and snowboarding with his brother Josh, and he was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He later found a passion for motorcycles and any high adrenaline activity including skydiving and bungee jumping.

Timmy spent every minute he could with his sidekick, Theodore. They loved hiking together and had recently taken a family trip to Costa Rica, which was a highlight of his life. Tim also spent a lot of time with his sister Madi, who was his close friend and confidante. He loved taking road trips on his motorcycle, often to add a new piece to his collection of tattoos. In addition to tattoos, Timmy also collected people. Despite his relentless sarcasm, his love of life drew people to him and he was always surrounded by friends who are too numerous to list individually.

Timothy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Katherine “Katie” Thiel.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Angie and Dee Green of Idaho Falls, ID; father, Brian Christopher Thiel of Idaho Falls, ID; his beloved son, Theodore Christopher Thiel of Idaho Falls, ID; his brother, Joshua Steven (Samantha) Perry of Taylorsville, UT; his sister, Madison Talbot of Idaho Falls, ID; his brother, AJ (Tina) Green of Shelly, ID; his sister, Shania Waggoner of Meridian, ID; nephew, Kaysen; nieces, Grace, Julia, and Lydia; grandparents William “Bill” and Rosie Thiel of Idaho Falls, ID, and John and Deana Price of Rigby, ID; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

A graveside service to commemorate Timmy’s life will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the New Sweden Cemetery, 3500 W. 33rd S. If you knew and loved Tim, like we did, please feel free to join us in this celebration of his life.
