Xayden Keaton Olsen

March 9th, 2010 - April 9th, 2025

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready ...

Xayden Keaton Olsen, 15, was born March 9, 2010, at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls, ID. He passed away, April 9, 2025 in the warmth of his home, embraced by the love of his family. Xayden was under the care of Solace Hospice.

From the very beginning this boy triumphed against many challenges. Xayden had a terminal illness, a rare genetic disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome. This condition mimics Alzheimer’s in many ways, causing a progressive decline in cognitive abilities and hindering further development. Over time, the disease affected his body physically, making even the simplest daily tasks impossible for him to manage on his own. Through all his health ailments his love and trust knew no bounds. His radiant smile and shining light brightened the lives and filled the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

His absence leaves a void that can never be replaced. We are so grateful for the 15 years this precious boy shared with us, and those memories are a priceless gift we will carry with us forever. From the way he would say, “Hi Buddy!” to how he used to ask for a “gug” instead of a “Hug”. Xayden participated in the Field of Angles baseball team for several years in a row and he absolutely loved this time in the sun, receiving a trophy at the end of the year banquet, and around all his adoring fans.

Throughout the years, Xayden graced many schools and received care from compassionate DDA agencies such as Journey’s and The Adventure Center, along with dedicated Personal Care Service companies. Along this adventure, he was surrounded by an extraordinary circle of teachers, paraprofessionals, community support workers, respite care providers, CNAs, registered nurses and doctors who poured their hearts into ensuring his comfort, growth, and well-being. Their unwavering devotion and gentle care left an indelible mark on his life and will forever be remembered with deep gratitude.

Xayden is survived by his Dad; Alexander George Stultz, Mom; Jamie Lee Stultz, sister; Alivea Olsen, and two brothers Owen and Sabashtyn along with his Nana and Poppa, Grandpa James, Grandpa and Grandma Queen and all his Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins.

In lieu of a formal service, a celebration of Xaydens life will be held on April 19, 2025 from 12-3 PM at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak, Shelley, ID 83274. Friends, Family and all who would like to attend will gather together, mingle, and share stories to celebrate the joy and love Xayden brought into our lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Nalder Funeral Home to help with funeral costs.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.nalderfuneralhome.com.
