Yvette Kay Boyce, 60, of Lewisville, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on September 16, 2024 after a 4+ yearlong battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Yvette was born in Ogden, UT on February 12, 1964 to Duaine Anderson and Linda Kay Jones. Her family moved a lot growing up, but she ended up in Rigby, Idaho in the 8th grade. She attended Rigby High School where she was crowned with the title of Miss Rigby High School in 1981 and she graduated that same year. She always found joy riding horses, dancing, and playing the saxophone. She was incredibly intelligent and had a life-long love of learning. Her saxophone talent led her to earning a full-ride scholarship to Weber State University.

After starting a family, Yvette went back to school to pursue her passion in Nursing. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Ricks College and later earned a Master’s Degree in Nurse Management. She worked for 14 years in Labor and Delivery at EIRMC. She then went on to several years of travel nursing in order to teach and train others in nurse management. Most recently, she was happily working for Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital until her passing.

Yvette was kind, determined, loving, and hardworking. She married her eternal love, Rodney Boyce, in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 6, 1984. They went on to have six beautiful daughters together. Her family meant the world to her. Everything that she did was for the benefit of her family. She was so proud of all of her girls and their talents and interests. She always made sure they could pursue their dreams.

Yvette was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a strong, unwavering testimony of the gospel, and knew that her family would be together for eternity. She always led with kind conviction. She loved anything and everything active including running, hiking, and doing CrossFit with her daughters.

Yvette is survived by her husband, Rodney Boyce of Lewisville, ID; Daughters: Shannon Littlewood (Jake) of Rigby, Brandy Boyce (Corey Tillery) of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Cayla Beutler (Carl) of Idaho Falls, Savanna Smith (James) of Lewisville, Errin Empey (Zachary) of Idaho Falls, and Macady Burke (Brian) of Lewisville; Parents: Duaine and Kay Anderson of Wickenburg, Arizona; Brothers: Rex Anderson (Marco Palomino) of San Francisco, California, Chad Anderson (Leisha) of Covington, Washington, Kyle Anderson of Perryton, Texas, Lee Anderson (Melody) of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Layne Anderson (Abbey Mayes) of Nampa, Idaho; Sisters: Marie Urban (Mike) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Holly Bond (Mike) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Karri Davis of Medford, Oregon; and 9 and a half grandchildren.
